Tacoma (Wash.) Employees' Retirement System is searching for an actuarial consultant, said Monica Butler, retirement director.
The $1.4 billion pension fund is conducting a search due to the pending expiration of Milliman's contract on Aug. 31. The firm is invited to rebid, Ms. Butler said.
The RFP is available on the city's website. Proposals are due at 11 a.m. PDT on May 13. The pension fund plans to recommend a firm to hire in late July; City Council approval is scheduled for Aug. 5.
