Franklin (Tenn.) Employees’ Pension Fund is searching for an active, domestic, intermediate-term core fixed-income manager to run between $5 million and $10 million, said William E. Dahab, principal and director of research at Dahab Associates, the $84 million pension fund’s investment consultant.
The pension fund is conducting the search because it is changing to active management, according to Mr. Dahab. The portfolio is now passively managed by State Street Global Advisors.
The RFP is available on Dahab’s website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on April 29. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
Shirley K. Harmon, human resources director for the city of Franklin, did not return a phone call by press time.
