Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System, Oklahoma City, is searching for its first commodities manager to run $20 million to $30 million.
The $828 million pension fund is seeking a long-only or long-biased manager, said Ginger Poplin, executive director.
Funding will come from domestic large-cap equities. The pension fund's domestic large-cap equity managers are: Hotchkis & Wiley, which runs $79 million in active value; Waddell & Reed, $78 million in active growth; and Northern Trust Asset Management, $53 million in passive large cap.
The RFP is available here. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. CDT on April 7. A timetable for a hiring decision has yet to be determined.
