Alexandre Werno was appointed executive vice general manager of Fortune SG Fund Management, the Shanghai-based joint venture fund management company of China’s Baosteel Group and Societe Generale Group subsidiary Lyxor Asset Management.
Mr. Werno replaces Gilbert Tse, who was named Lyxor’s Hong Kong-based head, Asia, in June.
Mr. Werno will oversee “the supervision of mandate and institutional sales (both domestic and international)” for Fortune SG, as well as risk control, according to a Lyxor news release Friday.
Mr. Werno previously was senior adviser to the general manager of Fortune SG.
A spokeswoman for Societe Generale said there are no immediate plans to fill the senior adviser role.
