Braintree (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for a passive S&P 500 index manager to run $36 million, according to an announcement from NEPC, investment consultant to the $165 million pension fund.
State Street Global Advisors currently manages the pension fund's S&P 500 account and is invited to rebid, said Jeanne Martineau, director of the Braintree Contributory Retirement System.
The pension fund will consider only managers with a minimum track record of five years and those that manage either a commingled fund or trust.
The RFP is available on NEPC's website. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT on April 11. A hiring date was not disclosed.
