CarMax Inc., Richmond, Va., is adding the MFS International Equity Fund and PIMCO Total Return Fund as investment options in its 401(k) plan, according to spokeswoman Michelle Ellwood.
The changes will be effective on April 7. In an e-mailed response to questions, Ms. Ellwood wrote the company “regularly reviews all of our programs and we simply make changes as we see fit.”
The international equity fund managed by MFS Investment Management will replace the Harbor International Fund, managed by Harbor Capital Advisors. The Pacific Investment Management Co. fund is a new option for the plan and is not replacing any current funds.
The changes give the plan a total of 11 investment options, along with a target-date fund lineup.
As of Dec. 31, 2012, the CarMax Inc. Retirement Savings Plan had $280 million in assets, according to the company's most recent Form 5500 filing.
