Garrett County Board of County Commissioners, Oakland, Md., is searching for an investment consultant for its two defined benefit pension funds.
The two pension funds are the $21 million Government Personnel Retirement Plan and the $6 million Law Enforcement Personnel Retirement Plan, according to an RFP posted on the county's website.
The chosen consultant will provide services for the county's Other Post-Employment Benefits Plan, Length of Service Awards Plan and Health Plan, which have combined assets of $9 million.
Information regarding the current consultant was not available by press time.
The RFP is available on the county's website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on April 22. A selection is expected on June 3. A one-year contract with the option for four one-year renewals is scheduled to begin July 1.
