John D. Rogers, president and CEO of the CFA Institute, will step down from his role on Aug. 31, said spokeswoman Sarah-Jane Purvis.
Mr. Rogers has headed the global association of investment professionals since he joined in January 2009. Mr. Rogers founded Jade River Capital Management in 2007 after serving as president and chief investment officer of Invesco Asset Management Ltd. Japan, and CEO and co-CIO of Invesco Global Asset Management.
Ms. Purvis said the CFA Institute's board of governors will conduct a global search for Mr. Rogers' replacement.
Mr. Rogers' plans following his departure at the end of the association's fiscal year could not be learned by press time; a phone call to Mr. Rogers was referred to the press office.
