Kelli Rogers was named chief financial officer of the $1.8 billion Louisiana Municipal Police Employees Retirement System, Baton Rouge.
It is a new position. Ms. Rogers, who began her job on March 10, said the pension fund board originally searched for the newly created position of chief investment officer, as well as a certified public accountant to do the accounting for the pension fund; she said she is taking on both roles with the CFO title.
Ms. Rogers was previously investment officer at the $1.3 billion Louisiana Firefighters' Retirement System, Baton Rouge. Steven Stockstill, executive director, declined to comment.
Separately, the pension fund increased its hedge fund target to 5% from 3% as part of an asset allocation review. Targets to international equity and domestic large-cap equity will be dropped by one percentage point each to 20% and 16%, respectively.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted with the asset allocation review.
