Richard Hall was named managing director of private equity at Harvard Management Co., said company spokesman Kevin Galvin.
Mr. Hall replaces Lane MacDonald, who left the company after two months on the job to become the president of Crosby Co., the family office for the Johnson family, owners of Fidelity Investments.
Mr. Hall will report to Andrew Wiltshire, managing director and head of alternative assets at HMC.
