Keith Crain, chairman of Crain Communications Inc., parent company of Pensions & Investments, has been elected to the Automotive Hall of Fame.
Mr. Crain was one of four honorees announced March 5 by the Hall of Fame, Dearborn, Mich.
The others were Volkswagen AG Chairman Ferdinand Piech, customer satisfaction pioneer J. David Power and late automotive designer Alex Tremulis. They will be honored at the organization's annual induction ceremony on July 24.
Mr. Crain is publisher and editorial director of Automotive News, and editor-in-chief of Autoweek and Crain's Detroit Business, all sister publications of P&I.
According to a news release from the Hall of Fame, honorees have had a significant impact on the development of the automobile and the motor vehicle industry. Mr. Crain also is being recognized for his leadership and participation “in numerous civic and industry organizations.”
