Florida State Board of Administration, Tallahassee, is searching for a senior portfolio manager-fixed income, offering a salary range between $120,000 and $180,000.
Ken Hill, who held the position, left the FSBA in November to join Invesco as multisector portfolio manager in fixed income. Mr. Hill, who started at Invesco in December, is based in Atlanta and reports to Rob Waldner, head of global macro and chief strategist for Invesco's fixed-income group, Bill Hensel, Invesco director of media relations, said in an e-mail.
FSBA, which oversees $176.8 billion in assets, posted the job opening this week on its website.
The FSBA took several months to begin its search for candidates because the “staff took some time within their group to determine if they needed any changes to duties” or other aspects of the position, John Kuczwanski, communications manager, said in an e-mail.
Mr. Hill's “duties have been covered by existing staff since his departure,” Mr. Kuczwanski said.
The person holding the position reports to Kathryn Wojciechowski, senior investment officer, fixed income.
The FSBA hopes to fill the opening as soon as possible, Mr. Kuczwanski said.
Qualifications FSBA is seeking include at least three years of related professional experience with two years at a supervisory level.
Applications are due by April 11.
