Frank Donatelli, executive vice president and director of federal public affairs for McGuireWoods Consulting, will be the new Washington watchdog for the Plan Sponsor Council of America.
Mr. Donatelli will assume the role now being performed by Edward Ferrigno, PSCA vice president of Washington affairs, who is retiring March 31 after having held the job for 16 years.
Annette Grabow, PSCA board chairwoman, praised Mr. Ferrigno for his “problem-solving skills” and “perseverance,” citing his efforts to promote auto enrollment, qualified default investment alternatives and higher plan contribution limits as some of his accomplishments during his PSCA career.
Ms. Grabow said she expects McGuireWoods and Mr. Donatelli to help PSCA in activities beyond Washington such as increasing membership.
PSCA issued an RFP for a consulting firm in September, said Ms. Grabow, who is manager of retirement benefits for M.A. Mortenson Co. PSCA board members narrowed the field to three candidates, and conducted interviews in January and February, she said.
