Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, Hartford, agreed to make a commitment of up to $55 million combined to two commingled funds, confirmed Denise Nappier, state treasurer and principal fiduciary for the $27.1 billion state pension system.
At a meeting Wednesday of the investment advisory council, Ms. Nappier announced a commitment of up to $25 million to GenNx360 Capital Partners II, a $600 million private equity fund focused on middle-market buyout investments, primarily in the industrial manufacturing, business-to-business and services industries.
The advisory council also agreed to commit up to $30 million to Gerding Edlen Green Cities II, a $250 million value-added real estate fund pursuing a niche strategy of re-leasing, redeveloping and retrofitting to high-energy efficiency standards multifamily and office properties in gateway cities across the U.S.
The commitments are pending successful contract negotiations.
