Mark Rowlands was appointed U.K. sales and marketing leader for Mercer's defined contribution and savings business, confirmed Brian Henderson, leader of Mercer's DC and savings business in the U.K.
He replaced Emma Douglas, who joined Legal & General Investment Management as head of DC in January.
Mr. Rowlands joins Mercer from enhanced annuities specialist Partnership Assurance. A spokeswoman for Partnership confirmed his departure and said the firm is looking for a replacement.
Mercer will continue to build its newly formed DC and savings team with further appointments, said Mr. Henderson in a telephone interview. Another hire is expected in April, he said.
