Indiana Public Retirement System, Indianapolis, is searching for an external auditing firm to ensure its compliance with GASB accounting standards.
Previous audits of the $28.6 billion pension fund were conducted by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, which will continue to provide oversight for the INPRS audit, said spokesman Jeff Hutson. “The RFP seeks additional expertise as INPRS implements new Governmental Accounting Standards Board pension standards,” Mr. Hutson said.
The length of the contract for the selected auditor has not been determined, Mr. Hutson said.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT March 31; a selection is expected April 25.
