Harley S. Bassman was hired as an executive vice president and portfolio manager at Pacific Investment Management Co., confirmed company spokesman Mark Porterfield in an e-mailed response to questions.
The position is new. Mr. Bassman will join the firm in July, according to a PIMCO news release.
Mr. Porterfield did not have specific information on which portfolio or portfolios Mr. Bassman would be managing.
Mr. Bassman was a managing director at Credit Suisse in the investment banking division. A spokesman for Credit Suisse did not respond to a request for information as to a replacement for Mr. Bassman.
