Lounarda David joined A$25 billion (US$22.5 billion) Sunsuper as investment operations manager, according to an announcement Thursday by the Brisbane-based superannuation fund.
It is a new position.
Ms. David had been a partner and Asia-Pacific regional director at Mercer Sentinel, the investment operations consulting unit of Mercer, through mid-2013. Bruce Wilson, Sunsuper's chief financial officer, said in a news release that while at Mercer, Ms. David had advised Sunsuper for years.
At Sunsuper, Ms. David “will manage the implementation of her recommendations, including development state-of-the-art middle- and back-office functions in Sunsuper,” Mr. Wilson said in the news release.
A Mercer spokeswoman said Ravi Nevile, a Singapore-based partner with Mercer, filled Ms. David's role as regional director Asia-Pacific at Mercer Sentinel.
