Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System's board will be interviewing all nine firms that responded to its domestic equity manager-of-emerging managers search, said Tom Lopez, chief investment officer of the $17.5 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
The firms are Acuitas Investments, Attucks Asset Management, Bivium Capital, Capital Prospects, FIS Group, Leading Edge Investment Advisors, Legato Capital Management, Northern Trust and Progress Investment.
The pension fund launched an RFI in September for a domestic equity manager of emerging managers to run a portfolio of $50 million to $200 million.
R.V. Kuhns & Associates, the pension fund's general consultant, is assisting.
