New Mexico Educational Retirement Board, Santa Fe, returned 11.7% on its investments for the year ended Dec. 31, said Bob Jacksha, chief investment officer of the $10.7 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
The best performing asset class was domestic small and midcap equities, which returned 36.2% for the year. The worst performing asset class was emerging market equities, at -7%.
