Tony Fenner-Leitao, CEO for Winton Capital Group, has left the firm, confirmed a spokesman for the hedge fund.
Mr. Fenner-Leitao stepped down from the London-based hedge fund manager, with $25 billion under management, to relocate to the U.S. West Coast for family reasons, according to a news release. Mr. Fenner-Leitao, who had been with the firm since 2008, was named CEO in January 2013.
David Harding, founder of Winton and executive chairman, will act as CEO “while the board considers longer term arrangements,” the news release said.
“I would like to thank (Mr. Fenner-Leitão) for his excellent service to Winton over the past five years,” Mr. Harding said in the news release. “We wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
