Chicago Park Employees' Annuity & Benefit Fund approved a search for a minority- or woman-owned emerging manager to run an international equity strategy, according to the recently released minutes of the Jan. 16 board meeting.
No further details were provided. Investment consultant Marquette Associates is assisting the $427 million pension fund.
Dean Niedospial, executive director of the pension fund, and Michael Spychalski, assistant vice president at Marquette, could not be reached by press time.
