Clarke County School District, Athens, Ga., is searching for its first investment consultant for its 403(b) and 457 plans, confirmed Larry Hammel, the school district's chief financial officer.
The plans have an estimated $20 million combined in assets. Mr. Hammel said in a telephone interview that they're seeking a consultant to help school district executives figure out what they have in terms of assets and where they need to go.
The consultant could help in the search for a record keeper, but Mr. Hammel said ideally the district would hire a single bundled provider.
The RFP is available from the school district's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on March 20. A decision is expected by April 10.
