Southwest Airlines Co., Dallas, hired NEPC as investment consultant for its 401(k) and profit-sharing plans, confirmed June Jackson, manager, retirement benefits.
NEPC replaces Curcio Webb, which served as consultant since 2005. Ms. Jackson said a search was initiated as a prudent measure in evaluating what other consultants had to offer. Curcio Webb rebid.
J.P. Morgan Retirement Plan Services is the provider for the two plans, which have a combined $6.5 billion in assets. The 401(k) plan has nine investment options and the profit-sharing plan, 10 options, in addition to brokerage windows.
Ms. Jackson said there are no immediate plans to change the investment option lineups.
