Odyssey Investment Partners closed its latest middle-market private equity fund, the $2 billion Odyssey Investment Partners Fund V, above its initial $1.75 billion target, confirmed Donald C. Cutler, Odyssey spokesman.
The fund will invest in the manufacturing and business services sectors including aerospace, equipment rental, insurance and health care, energy and industrial automation.
Investors in the fund include the $18.5 billion San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System; Montana Board of Investments, Helena, which oversees $9.4 billion in pension assets; and the $5.8 billion District of Columbia Retirement Board, Washington.
