Nevada State Treasurer's Office, Carson City, is searching for a custodian for five funds it oversees, confirmed Mark Mathers, chief deputy treasurer.
The search is being conducted because the contract of the current custodian, Wells Fargo Bank, expires Nov. 30. The firm is invited to rebid.
The funds include the $306 million Permanent School Fund and the $64 million Prepaid College Tuition Program, both tax-exempt. Other funds are the $1.5 billion General Portfolio, $559 million Local Government Investment Pool and the $228 million Enhanced Savings Term Program.
The RFP is available from the state treasurer's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. PDT March 27. A decision is expected around May 9.
