Merseyside Pension Fund, Liverpool, England, is searching for at least one manager to run a European ex-U.K. equities allocation, confirmed a spokesman for Wirral Council, which is running the search.
The allocation represents 5.5% of the £5.9 billion ($9.9 billion) pension fund, according to procurement documents available on European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily.
According to the 2012/2013 annual report, Merseyside Pension Fund has an 8% allocation to European ex-U.K. equities.
The spokesman declined to comment further on the search.
