South Miami (Fla.) Pension Fund hired Boston Co. Asset Management and Great Lakes Advisors to run about $2 million each in active domestic smidcap core equities, confirmed William Dahab, director of research at Dahab Associates, the $27 million pension fund's investment consultant.
It is a new allocation and is funded from rebalancing. No managers will be terminated.
The pension fund issued an RFP in August. The other finalist was GW&K Investment Management.
