Chris Ford was appointed global head of consultant Towers Watson's investment business, confirmed firm spokesman Paul Deane-Williams.
Mr. Ford replaces Carl Hess, who has been appointed managing director of the Americas and also joined Towers Watson's executive committee.
The process to fill Mr. Ford's previous role as head of investment for Europe, the Middle East and Africa — a role he has held since November 2010, is still underway, Mr. Deane-Williams said.
Mr. Hess replaces Jim Foreman, who has been appointed to lead the company's expanded exchange solutions business.
The global consultancy has more than $2 trillion of assets under advisement and $60 billion of assets under management.
