Fulton County School Employees Pension Fund, Atlanta, will likely issue an RFP for an investment consultant within two to three months after its March 13 board meeting, said Greta Tinaglia, executive director.
The RFP will be issued with the assistance of governance consulting firm Cortex Applied Research, which the $300 million pension fund's board of trustees recently hired.
The pension fund had issued an RFP in October for a firm to assist with an investment consulting search. The search is the result of the board's concerns with recent negative media publicity regarding disclosures about current consultant Gray & Co. and its founder Lawrence Gray.
Ms. Tinaglia said Gray & Co. will be invited to rebid. The board will meet with Cortex for the first time at its March 13 meeting and will determine a specific timeline regarding the search at that time.
