Rodney Comegys, a principal and head of index analysis and ETF trading with Vanguard Group, has been appointed head of investments Asia-Pacific and head of the equity investment group.
Mr. Comegys replaces Gregory Davis, who served as Vanguard’s Melbourne-based chief investment officer of the Asia-Pacific region before relocating to Malvern, Pa., in November to become head of Vanguard’s fixed-income group.
Mr. Comegys will relocate to Melbourne from Malvern.
Mr. Comegys’ new titles reflect Vanguard’s move in the direction of a less-siloed, more matrix-style approach to global investing, said Martha Wood, a Melbourne-based spokeswoman for Vanguard, in a telephone interview.
The appointment of Mr. Comegys “reflects our adoption of a global strategy that aligns and integrates our investment functions worldwide,” Tim Buckley, chief investment officer, said in a news release Wednesday.
Amma Boateng will replace Mr. Comegys as head of index analysis and ETF trading, Ms. Wood confirmed. She couldn’t immediately provide details on Ms. Boateng’s previous title.
