Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas, is searching for an investment manager to run its endowment and foundations, confirmed Kathy Williamson, director of financial services.
Incumbent Merrill Lynch may rebid. Its contract expires Aug. 31. The selected firm will manage the $11.4 million endowment, $29.5 million University Foundation and a $22.2 million University Alumni Foundation. The manager has discretion over investments within the plans' investment policy and asset allocation guidelines.
The search is being handled internally.
The RFP is available on a state procurement website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. CST on March 5. Finalists will make presentations in April, but a hiring date has not been determined. The contract starts Sept. 1.
