Wiltshire Pension Fund, Trowbridge, England, hired Investec Asset Management to run a £140 million ($231.7 million) global emerging markets multiasset allocation, confirmed David Anthony, head of pensions.
The new allocation by the £1.5 billion pension fund is a result of a recent asset allocation review.
“This time last year we terminated a couple of managers, but we had no specific allocation to emerging markets,” Mr. Anthony said in a telephone interview. “We wanted that (exposure) but to dampen down volatility. Hence the multiasset approach.”
