Philip White left his job as director of Racker Rewards at Rackspace Hosting Inc., San Antonio.
Mr. White is starting a company, Finantage, that will help companies set up financial wellness programs. His first client, Mr. White said in an interview, is Rackspace Hosting.
Mr. White had been building a customized financial wellness program for Rackspace's $80 million 401(k) plan. Mr. White's efforts earned recognition as a winner in the financial wellness category of the 2013 Innovator Awards, sponsored by Pensions & Investments and the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association.
Brandon Brunson, a spokesman for Rackspace, said in an interview the company has no plans at this time to hire a replacement for Mr. White.
