Heifer International Foundation, Little Rock, Ark., is searching for a domestic large-cap core equity manager to run $11 million, confirmed William Dahab, principal and director of research at Dahab Associates, consultant to the $90 million foundation.
The foundation is looking for socially responsible investment managers as well as traditional managers. Mr. Dahab said the foundation wants proposals from both kinds of managers and there is “no pre-prejudice” in what kind of manager will be hired.
It is anticipated an active manager will be hired, but passive managers may submit proposals as well, Mr. Dahab said.
Funding will come from rebalancing; no managers will be terminated.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EST Feb. 20. A hiring date has not been determined.
