Nadia Grant was appointed U.S. equities fund manager at Threadneedle Investments, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Ms. Grant, who will be based in London, will join Threadneedle in February and report to Cormac Weldon, head of U.S. equities. Threadneedle has £84.9 billion ($139.5 billion) in total assets under management.
Ms. Grant's appointment brings the number on the U.S. equities team to 12 — four fund managers, six analysts and two people supporting the team, according to a news release.
Ms. Grant was a portfolio manager in the global multiasset group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she was focused on U.S. equities. A spokeswoman confirmed Ms. Grant left the firm in 2013. “There has been no impact to the investment process or day-to-day management of any funds in the global multiasset group as a result of the departure,” she added.
