Elke Schoeppl-Jost joined Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management as a managing director and chief investment officer, Asia-Pacific.
Ms. Schoeppl-Jost replaces Melbourne-based Christopher Siniakov, who will leave the firm after a transition period, said a Hong Kong-based DeAWM spokeswoman. The spokeswoman said she had no further information regarding Mr. Siniakov's plans. Mr. Siniakov couldn't be reached immediately for comment.
Ms. Schoeppl-Jost will be based in Hong Kong and Singapore. She'll report to Sean Taylor, DeAWM's head of emerging markets equities, and to Ravi Raju, DeAWM's Asia-Pacific head.
She was CIO at Hong Kong-based BEA Union Investment. A BEA Union Investment spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
