Yugo Ishida joined Lazard Japan Asset Management as representative director and CEO.
Mr. Ishida replaces Keiichi Miki, who led Lazard's Japanese business for more than three years. A spokesman for Lazard Japan Asset Management had no information on Mr. Miki's plans.
Mr. Ishida was an adviser to the board of directors of Nomura Asset Management; he also held a series of other senior executive posts, including president and chief operating officer of the firm. A spokeswoman for Nomura Asset Management said Mr. Ishida's role as adviser to the board won't be filled.
