An alliance of geographically dispersed investment consultants focused on manager research — announced last May by New York-based Segal Rogerscasey and Melbourne-based Frontier Advisors — added LCP, a London-based investment consultant, as the group's third member.
A joint news release Monday said in addition to covering North America, Australia and New Zealand, the “Global Investment Research Alliance” now covers the U.K. and Europe as well. The number of alliance members could climb to six, with the “additional firms to cover South America, Asia, and the Middle East and Africa,” the news release said.
In a telephone interview, Wayne Sullivan, head of marketing and business development with Frontier Advisors, said investment consultants in the group will continue to do their own research on managers outside of their home bases, but with greater depth and efficiency as a result of cooperation with other alliance members.
The news release said in addition to sharing manager research, the group will “hold periodic forums to discuss global investment trends, client issues, and capital market directions.”
