St. Louis Firefighters' Retirement Plan hired The Segal Co. as its first actuarial consultant, confirmed a pension fund spokeswoman.
The $2 million pension fund issued an RFP in July.
The plan was created Feb. 1, 2013, the same day the $445 million St. Louis Firemen's Retirement System was frozen. Both systems continue to function with separate boards of trustees.
Richard R. Frank, secretary, was not available to provide further information.
