Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds issued an RFP for an actuarial consultant for the $92.3 billion Wisconsin Retirement System, Madison.
The department — which determines contributions and administers the benefit programs for the WRS, whose assets are overseen by the $100.3 billion State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison — is undertaking the search because the contract of the incumbent Gabriel Roeder Smith expires Sept. 30. GRS may rebid, Nancy Ketterhagen, department spokeswoman, said in an e-mail.
The RFP is available on the department's website. Proposals are due Feb. 17. The department expects to make a decision April 21 and begin negotiations for a contract, which is scheduled to begin Oct. 1.
