State Street Global Advisors and MFS Investment Management teamed up to create three actively managed exchange-traded funds, confirmed SSgA spokeswoman Elizabeth Bartlett.
The ETFs — SPDR MFS Systematic Core Equity ETF, Value Equity ETF and Growth Equity ETF — began trading on NYSE Arca on Thursday. MFS handles the stock selection and portfolio construction on all three ETFs.
The core, value and growth equity ETFs are designed to outperform their respective benchmarks over a full market cycle by applying a consistent, disciplined bottom-up stock selection and portfolio construction process, according to a statement issued by SSgA.
The ETFs are managed by Matthew Krummell, MFS quantitative equity research analyst, and Jonathan Sage, MFS portfolio manager, according to MFS spokesman Dan Flaherty.
