Donald M. Raymond will resign as senior vice president and chief investment strategist of the C$192.8 billion (US$178.4 billion) Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto, effective March 31.
Mr. Raymond will become managing partner and chief investment officer at Toronto-based private markets and hedge fund manager Alignvest Management. The position is new, said Nick Anstett, Alignvest spokesman.
CPPIB's chief investment strategist oversees the board's overall portfolio construction and risk management, said Linda Sims, CPPIB spokeswoman.
A search is underway to replace Mr. Raymond before he leaves CPPIB.
