Boris Mikhailov was appointed director, business development, at Aviva Investors, according to a news release from the money manager.
Mr. Mikhailov will lead the development and sales of the £246 billion ($403.4 billion) money manager's liability-driven investment strategies. He will also work with two of Aviva's pension plans.
“We are committed to providing a first-class LDI proposition to both the Aviva Staff Pension Scheme and the RAC Pension Scheme, and as we look to externalize that capability. (Mr. Mikhailov) will be a key part of our success in doing so,” said Phil Redding, managing director, business development in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Aviva Investors, in the release.
Mr. Mikhailov was a principal in the financial strategy group at consultant Mercer, where he focused on LDI. His duties have been absorbed by other members of the team, according to a Mercer spokeswoman.
Spokesmen for Aviva Investors were not available to comment by press time.
