Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Columbus, is searching for active domestic core-plus fixed-income managers to run a total of about $2.8 billion for the $24 billion state insurance fund, confirmed spokeswoman Melissa Vince.
The portfolio is currently run passively by State Street Global Advisors. The search is the result of the bureau moving its total long-credit fixed-income portfolio, which accounts for 28% of assets, to an active approach.
The RFP is posted on the state's procurement website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EST on Feb. 25. Finalist interviews are tentatively scheduled for July.
