Royal Shakespeare Theatre Pension Scheme, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England, hired P-Solve as fiduciary investment manager, confirmed Liz Thompson, spokeswoman for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Ms. Thompson declined to further comment. P-Solve will take on full fiduciary management of the pension scheme, according to a news release from P-Solve.
“We looked into fiduciary management because we wanted access to a wider range of investments than would have been available to a pension fund of our size,” said David Burbidge, trustee, in the news release. “This included instruments such as interest rate and inflation rate hedges, which should give us a better performance by allowing us to have a higher proportion of return-seeking assets rather than bonds.”
The asset size of the pension scheme could not be learned by press time; inquiries to Mr. Burbidge were referred to Ms. Thompson. P-Solve spokesman Patrick Horwood did not respond to inquiries by press time.
