Amanda Pullinger was promoted to CEO of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, the New York-based non-profit organization.
The position is new, said Eve Zibel, a spokeswoman for 100WHF. Ms. Pullinger had been executive director, a position that will not be filled immediately, Ms. Zibel said.
During her six years as executive director, Ms. Pullinger “managed the global growth of the organization” to 17 locations and more than 12,000 members from six locations and 5,000 members when she assumed the job, according to a news release. Hedge fund industry education events sponsored by the group have increased to more than 100 annually and in her previous role, Ms. Pullinger oversaw charitable fundraising totaling $3 million per year.
