ScholarShare Investment Board, Sacramento, Calif., reissued an RFP for an investment consultant for the state's 529 college savings plan, confirmed Bill Ainsworth, spokesman for state Treasurer Bill Lockyer, who is chairman of the board.
An RFP initially was issued in October, but the board wanted to modify the cost proposal section of the RFP.

The investment consultant will analyze, monitor and evaluate asset allocation and investments for the $5 billion 529 plan, among other responsibilities, according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on the board's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. PST Jan. 16. A hiring decision is expected Feb. 6.
