Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System, Oklahoma City, committed $200 million to Franklin Park for 2014 for a private equity fund of funds, according to recently released minutes of the Nov. 20 board meeting.
Franklin Park is also the $12.9 billion pension fund's private equity consultant. The pension fund committed $40 million each to Franklin Park venture capital and international private equity funds of funds in 2012. No further information was provided about the 2014 commitment.
Separately, the pension fund placed Thornburg Investment Management on alert for performance. Thornburg manages $486 million in active international large-cap equity. Spokeswoman Rebecca Carrier said the firm declined to comment.
Also, the target real estate allocation was increased to 7% from 5%.
Pension fund spokeswoman Kym Koch Thompson did not respond to requests for additional information.
