Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System, Phoenix, committed up to $75 million to global macro hedge fund Brevan Howard Master Fund, confirmed James Hacking, pension fund administrator.
It is the $7.7 billion pension fund's first commitment to a fund managed by Brevan Howard Asset Management.
Separately, the pension fund made an additional commitment of $40 million to LSV Special Opportunities Fund IV, an absolute-return fund managed by LSV Advisors. The pension originally committed $40 million to the fund in May 2012.
